Gourmet Dinner for Two with Artists at High Sierra Music Festival!

High Sierra Music Festival is known as “The Ultimate Intimate Festival Experience”. One reason the bands favor their experience is the world class food served to them by the festival’s resident “celebrity chefs,” Larry Bressler and Michael Trevors. Until now, that’s something only artists experienced.

At this year’s festival however, Chef Larry and Chef Michael will be cooking up very special backstage meals as a fundraiser for the nonprofit organization HeadCount. This is the only way you and a friend can join in!

Do High Sierra in style and support HeadCount’s ongoing efforts to inspire participation in democracy!

Chef Larry and Chef Michael will be crafting an intimate, specially-prepared gourmet meal for four High Sierra Music Festival attendees, on July 3. Also in attendance will be Del McCoury, Brendan Bayliss and Jake Cinnenger of Umphrey’s McGee, High Sierra Music Festival co-producer David Margulies, and JamBase founder Andy Gadiel. Great conversation and great food will be in order. The menu for this meal is as follows:

Menu:

Soup - Chilled Potato and Cucumber Soup with Smoked Salmon and Dill Oil
Salad - Seasonal Organic Mixed Greens with Dried Cranberries and Spiced Walnuts
Sorbet - Champagne Sorbet with Dave's Homemade Lemon Vodka
Entree - Duet of Chile Garlic Prawns and Seared Fillet of Beef, Chive infused Mashed Potatoes and Fresh Asparagus with Lemon Butter
Dessert - Selected Lille Belle Farms Chocolate Truffles

+ Selected Wines

About Chef Larry Bresller

Chef Larry Bressler is currently a Chef Instructor at the California School of Culinary Arts - Le Cordon Bleu Programs in Pasadena and Hollywood California. Upon graduating from the Culinary Institute of America in 1983, he built on his formal training with stints at such notable restaurants as The Windsor Court Hotel in New Orleans, Mustard’s Grill in Yountville CA, for Napa Valley celebrity chef Cindy Pawlcyn, and as the Chef/Owner of Gerard’s French Restaurant, a 50 seat French Bistro in Riverside CA. Chef Larry has a special fondness for the lifestyle and food of New Orleans and runs through life with the same sense of zeal. He frequently can be seen feeding bands when they stop through Los Angeles as well as offering his personal time at charity events.

About Chef Michael Trevors:

Chef Michael Trevors is the owner of Art of the Season Food Services and Michael’s Market Kitchen, outside of Seattle, Washington. Classically French trained and multi talented in many cuisines he has cooked for such noted clients as Bill and Melinda Gates, world class glass artist Dale Chihuly, Bob Weir, Warren Haynes and Yonder Mountain String Band as well as Executives at Boeing Corp, Microsoft, various celebrities and politicians. His love of food and the craft of flavor combinations have contributed to his 35+ years in the business. In a sentence his approach can be summed up in the following; “if a recipe has 6 ingredients ,the final result should be balanced enough to taste like a 7th. If it tastes predominantly like one ingredient then you have used too much.”
